Roses: |
Patrick White opened his garden to the Club on August 14 for viewing and taking cuttings. This was the last chance to see his garden, as he and his wife are moving at the end of the month to a new home with an even larger garden. Patrick has been moving selected roses out to the new property (although there will be hundreds of roses left for the purchasers of this house), and he invited club members to take cuttings of his favorites. Explorer roses (hybrid rugosas and Kordesii's), OGR's and Ramblers are particularly well represented. Many mature trees are garlanded 20 - 30 feet up with climbing roses.
