The Pacific North-West Carnivorous Plant Club (PNWCPC) is an organization of enthusiasts in and around Vancouver, BC and Seattle, WA interested in the cultivation and preservation of carnivorous plants.
Dionaea muscipula

Carnivorous plants (cp) are those plants which obtain nutrients most often from invertebrate prey, but may occasionally consume the odd vertebrate or two! The best known plant is, of course, the venus flytrap. However, there are over 200 other species, and more are discovered yearly.
Cp's are beautiful in both the traps and flowers. While many people think they are difficult to maintain, the majority are easy. In fact, the greatest diversity of cp genera are found in North America, and many can easily be grown year-round on the coast on your sunny deck. Give them a try, it'll bring out the ghoulish child in you!

Drosera binata

Attending our shows and sales is a great way to get introduced to the world of carnivorous plants. Our August 1999 show was a great success. Our next meeting will be on May 7, 2000 at the Richmond Nature Park Centre from 11am to 4pm.
This meeting will include a public display. However, plants will be traded and sold amongst members only, due to lack of adequate amounts of plants to publicly sell.
There will be a public sale August at which many plants will be up for available, including Sarracenia, Drosera, Dionaea, Nepenthes, plus many more, all at very reasonable prices.
A general cp meeting will follow the show. Everyone is welcome to attend this meeting, and to become a new member.
